1) In finding and listing periodicals that are relevant to experimental music, I don’t know how I missed KunstMusik. It’s a German publication, but all texts are in English. Here’s the listing of contributors.

2) Bryn Harrison has a new release on Another Timbre, a 76-minute piano piece called Vessels, played by Philip Thomas. There’s a very useful interview with Harrison on the AT site, and here is what I wrote about the piece back in May.

3) Richard Glover also has a new release on AT, called Logical Harmonies. The interview with him at that same link clarifies the project beautifully.

4) Back in July I wrote about a live performance of Luiz Henrique Yudo’s 5 Palindromes in London, and desperately wanted to hear it again. Here it is.

5) A free download at Compost and Height of a 2002 concert featuring works by Tim Parkinson, Michael Parsons, and Manfred Werder.

6) Jürg Frey’s Metal, Stone, Skin, Foliage, Air, performed by Nick Hennies, is newly available to stream or download, and is really quite beautiful.

7) There is a promising new art-edition label for electroacoustic music called Shadowselves:

Shadowselves 01: rise set twilight – Live at Fylkingen

rise set twilight (Linda and Mike) performed at Fylkingen in Stockholm, Sweden in June 2012. All sound was created with two Euro-format modular synthesizers. Three channels of audio are diffused through an eight-speaker system.

The porcelain tiles were handmade by Linda and Mike at home and finished with a combination of painting, glaze pencil, and decal collage. Each tile is unique.

Shadowselves 02: Mike Bullock – Fermented…Earth / A Cat’s Tiger

A new electroacoustic composition made with bass, voice, drawing on paper with pens and pencils, and synthesizer, that comes across like a tightly dialed-in improvising quartet. “Fermented…Earth / A Cat’s Tiger” is derived in part from materials I contributed to The People to Come, a multimedia performance piece by a canary torsi. The title is derived from a poem by Yan Jun, as translated by Ben Houge.
