Maja Ratkje is this year’s Composer in Residence at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. She speaks about her musical history and about her works on the program in an interview on the hcmf site.

One of the featured works is an opera specifically performed for babies, called Korall Koral. You can read about it on Ratkje’s site, on a dedicated site for the opera, or watch the video about it below.

Ratkje is also the subject of a documentary called Voice, which has been underway for three years and is currently in the midst of an indiegogo campaign to see it through to completion.
