I’m not one to go in for blogger apologetics, but I think I have at least a moment of explaining to do–there’s been no sign of me here since December. On every level, my absence has to do with trying to do too many things at once. I can’t guarantee that it won’t happen again, but for now there’s quite a backlog of posts that I have been thinking about, and in many cases they are even drafted.

One of the too many things I’ve been attempting is a migration of the entire blog from the b2evolution software, which I’ve found to be somewhat unsupported, to WordPress. The migration also involves a change of hosts, for reasons that are too extensive and boring to address. The new site is set up, but I haven’t yet pulled the trigger on the domain name. I don’t quite know what I’m doing, so there may be a hiccup in the availability of the site during the transfer. It’s probably best to mention this beforehand and affirm that the blog is not dead, but just took a long nap. I’ll post a few more times here before making the switch.
